Here is a tentative schedule for the 2025-26 school year. It should appear very familiar. Mornings are reserved for lower-level math classes, while afternoons contain higher level math and science. This allows older students to more conveniently double up on math and science classes. Research also indicates older students may be more coherent and functional later on in the day. We adopted this math schedule last year and intend to use it as our default schedule each new school year.
The survey below, however, is designed to gauge interest and make possible changes based on the needs of the community. Specifically, afternoon science classes will be determined by popular demand. Also, there is a slight... slight chance we will offer a Calculus class on Mondays in Raleigh if interest is overwhelming. Otherwise, Raleigh will have its own Math Fundamentals class again. Like last year, the Pre-Calculus course is composed of two semester long courses (College Algebra and Trigonometry) that meet twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays. Students would be responsible for both sessions. Traditionally, we also offer some core math classes over the summer to help student catch up or get ahead. You can participate in that survey by clicking Summer 2025 Survey. Finally, with the recent success of the SAT prep class, we intend to offer classes in the fall, spring, and summer each year. Please show your interest in these classes by clicking 2025 SAT Prep Survey. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. |
